University Card
Modified on: Tue, 26 Nov 2024 3:52 PMThis article is for any member of the University of Oxford who needs information related to the links between IT accounts and their University Card, including expiry dates.
Expiring, expired, lost, or damaged University Card | Although your university card affects your access to IT systems, it is your primary department or college administration or HR team that are responsible for processing requests regarding expired, lost, or damaged university cards, not IT. If you are worried about your expiry date, please contact the relevant team at least 1 month in advance of it expiring. Request a temporary extension on your expiring card yourself using the IT Services Self Service Portal and searching for "SSO Account Access Extension". |
Why have my emails, WiFi and/or departmental account stopped working? | If your University Card has expired these will all stop working. Please check the expiry date in the bottom left of your card or on the University Self-Registration pages, then talk to the relevant administration or HR team. If your university card is in date and the problem persists, you should be in touch with your local IT team. |
What is my University Card Number? | The 7 digit number in the bottom right of your card, just above the barcode. |
Building Access | Swipe/tap access to the buildings you need to enter is managed by the relevant college or department facilities team, who can in turn be contacted via your primary college or department administration or HR team. |
College and Department Affiliation |
You can have multiple affiliations, but only people (e.g. HR, IT) with the same affiliation or Central IT Services can help with account issues. |
Alternate Names | Bod Card, Bodleian Card, Student Card, Uni Card |
